Event Details

Following four years of extensive refurbishment, the Peranakan Museum has finally reopened and will be giving the British Association a private guided tour of the museum's highlights!

It is the only museum of its kind in the world, exploring the history of Peranakan cultures in Singapore as well as other Peranakan communities in Southeast Asia. It is housed at the Old Tao Nan School building* on Armenian Street, which once served as an extended wing to the artefact collection of the Asian Civilisations Museum.

*Interesting Fact - it was the original building of Eva's primary school so perhaps we can persuade Eva to share a few of her memories with us!

Price: Guide price will depend on how many take the tour ($13 - $20 per person depending on how many register - TBC)

PLUS admission to the Museum - $12 for non-Singaporeans and complimentary for Singaporeans and PRs.

The tour will begin at 10.30 and last approximately 1 hour. Please ensure you get there in time to buy your admission ticket and be ready for the tour to start promptly. After the tour, you are free to browse the museum at your leisure and those that want to sample traditional Peranakan food may want to move next door to True Blue Cuisine for lunch (details re lunch will follow separately)🙂
