October Monthly Meander - Visiting the farm and summiting Singapore's highest natural point!


Date- Tuesday 22nd October

Time- 9 - 11.30 am (approx depends on everyone's pace)

Length of walk - approx 8km including some steps

Meet- Hillview MRT exit A

Cost- Free

This lovely rustic walk will take us through Dairy Farm Nature Park where we can stop at the Wallace Education Centre and find out about the local fauna and flora and how this area was the site of the world's first tropical dairy farm in the 1930's, established by Cold Storage to supply high quality pasteurised milk for children of expats in Singapore.

We continue on jungle trails to the summit of Bukit Timah (163m) the highest natural point in Singapore, then descend back down to end our walk at Beauty World MRT and nearby bus stop.

N.B. The natural paths may be uneven and rough in places and we will be going up and down several steps

Things to bring- comfy walking shoes, umbrella (protection from sun & rain), mozzie repellant, sunscreen and water.
