Event Details

Talented photographer and BA member, Carol, has kindly volunteered once again to take us on a photography walk. This time we will be visiting the gorgeous Lian Shan Shuang Lin Monastery in Toa Payoh.

You do not need to have a fancy camera to join this walk and phone camera users are also very welcome!

Lian Shan Shuang Lin Monastery is a really interesting and beautiful Buddhist monastery. The monastery was gazetted as a national monument in 1980 and subsequently underwent a decade-long restoration that began in 1991. The temple now boasts a seven storey gold-topped pagoda which is a replica of the 800-year-old Shanfeng temple pagoda in Fujian.

We will meet at 8.30am outside the main entrance and finish at approximately 10.30am, and for those that have time we can discuss what we have discovered during the morning over coffee at a nearby cafe.

Price: $5 donation to BA charities (please pay cash to Nancy on the day)
